Actually, that doesn't bother me so much.... the worst that
happens is that they get an epically long wait outside my office
for nothing.... 
What really irks me is that some people seem to think that they
can ask me how to do their assignments before they hand it
in.
And that's still not the worst. One student once handed in two
versions of the same assignment. Then he asked me, 'Sir, can
you choose which version is correct, and mark
accordingly?'
